The thing is I have a load of people interested in buying , and now have to let them know if it's a uk car!! I was sold it as a uk car from a dealer two years ago , but hey I should have done more research , glad I haven't had a bump , wonder what Mr insurance would say??

Its not a JDM, so its either a UK car or an import from europe.
The service book should have the dealer stamp in if its a UK sourced car, either way it wont increase your insurance unless you didnt tell them it was an STI

I have it insured as a uk wrx sti , will parking it up for now and ring them Monday. I haven't got the original service book only one supplied by a dealer in 2006 , it must be a euro import! thanks for all you help cheers. Money wise how much less will it be worth ? I was hoping to fetch 6.5/7k as I haven't got full history , car has done 34k with mot's to prove.

I had a euro import turbo and had it insured as a uk car, I told them the details and it seemed it could either be a jap import or uk spec. As it's essentially the same as uk spec I don't think you'd have a problem with how it's insured.
