Bit of pre-Xmas fun - a little competition with a decent prize...
Whoever makes the closest guess to how much bhp power my car makes later today (after it has been dyno'd at API) will win a genuine, never-used phase 1.5 MY97/98 ("v.3/4") Samco turbo inlet hose! (in orange-red colour).
As a bit of fun, I won't tell you my mods, but if you search the forums, you just may build up a picture of what I've had done and therefore offer a more educated guess.
In the (unlikely) event of two or more persons with the same closest winning bhp figure (whether higher OR lower OR exact), then it will go to a tie-break: closest guess of the lb ft torque figure will win!
(In the tie-break: in the (unlikely) event of two or more persons with the same closest winning lb ft figure (whether higher OR lower OR exact), then the person who posted first will win).
So please post two figures: the 1st for bhp; the 2nd for lb ft (should it be needed in the event of a tie-break, later).
After the winner has been declared, I'll post a pic of the dyno printout for all to see...
* A minimum of THIRTY entries (posts) - each from different members - will be required to constitute a "competition".
* Any member can post ONE guess - but no more.
* ONLY posts on this forum thread will be counted as valid entires (NO personal emails or PMs please).
* TWENTY-NINE entries or fewer, and the competition is null and void.
* No staff and associates of API may enter (for obvious reasons).
* Competition closes Sunday, 21 November 2010, just before midnight at 23:59.59 hrs.
So come on all you phase 1.5 owners - or indeed 'tycoons' that will sell the prize on
- please don't be shy, and come rock up with your entries...

Hey you two - can you add to your respective posts the tie-break lb ft torque figure, please? If it's the same as bhp, no problem - but if you can just write it down in the posts, that'd be fairer, seeing as the others have posted their guess upfront.
