Started fitting my flocked dash today.
All I can say is what a nightmare of a job. Ended up having to rip the old dash to bits to get it out. It is going back together although I ain't fitting some of the screws as I can't actually see how some of them could be fitted.

Anybody else fitted one?

Anybody got a guide for a pre facelift classic??

 

Done a lot of newage dash's

 

They easier than classic dashes? Flock me if Subaru could have added a few more screws I would be impressed mother flockers

 

Lol, i think theres even a bit more to the newage ones than the classics. Theyre well nut and bolted in there.

 

If you find one post it up i got half way through mine and got pi$$ed of with it and gave up. That was about a year ago

Pre-facelift Classics are the worst, so I am told. The Facelift seemed easy to me.

 

Took 9 hours to do mine. 6 of those were trying to get the old one out. Someone had the idea to screw the wiring loom to the dash with not much play in it. But old one out in one piece and new one in. Just take your time and watch for the hidden screws

 

9 hours?! I had my dash out and back in again within 2 hours... Gonna be taking it out again soon, I'll write a guide up (although there is one around somewhere, will see if i can find it)

It took me less time to replace 4 drive shafts, 4 hubs, 1 prop, 1 rear diff and 1 gearbox than it did to take the frikin dash out why fit 1 screw when you can fit 100 fankers

 

Got it half back together. Anybody got any pics of a fully fitted or even partially fitted PRE facelift dash. It only the contre bit around the gearstick left to fit now everything else is back together and my speedo even started working
