thats true but he dosent go in to the gear box and how he was able to or should i say change to get the car to go to 189mph as you can shave as much weight off as you want but the gears can only go to a cert speed. so is he a member on here?

Don't know, but i wouldn't touch it with yours mate. No real details of the engine mods, and mapping. Superchips my ****! And 189mph.... you would need about 3 more gears on an impreza box to get to that speed!

Hmmmm....

- Carbon Bonnet - possibly some savings
- Carbon Air intake on the bonnet - Not much different to standard weight
- Carbon Ram Air intake - Not much difference to standard cover
- Carbon Roof Scoop - Added weight
- Carbon Front Splitter - Added weight
- Carbon wing mirrors - Probably not much in it
- Carbon Dial pod - Added weight
- Carbon rear boot - Some savings
- Carbon rear wing (top) - Added weight
- Carbon boot spoiler - Probably weighs similar to standard with the size of it
- Carbon rear diffuser - Added weight
- Carbon battery cover - Added weight
- Carbon belt cover - About the same
- Carbon cap cover - Whatever one of those is, added weight

How he thinks it's 200kg lighter than standard I don't know.

Especially with this:

Premium JBL sound system, 8 speaker system, with sub and amp in boot.

"front mounted cooling system." Is he talking about the radiator lol?
"Rare" 6 speed gearbox?
"Racing" conrods, pistons and clutch? Yeah what make?
"Top drift spec" Tein suspension.

"The car has actually been used in a photo shoot and also for a scene in an up and coming car movie, which should add a bit more value to it." Erm... No.

"this is the REAL CARBON, that's used for aerospace parts etc. The carbon material is 3 times as tough as the metal parts, and about 10 times lighter." It's just wet laid carbon over fibre glass, I highly doubt it's all bespoke full on pre preg stuff.

Sounds to me like the current owner has purchased the car like this and whomever sold it them spouted off a load of crap and the buyer has lapped it up.

Yup 460bhp on a top mount
Gearing on a uk car is 183@7500rpm, carbon wont save that much weight if your replacing alluminium as alluminium is lighter
Short shift gearbox, rare? well go buy the kit and there you go
He is waffling out his ****

You beat me to it. Not going to get that power from a STI top mount.

To quote "The car has actually been used in a photo shoot and also for a scene in an up and coming car movie, which should add a bit more value to it. I have pictures of this if you want them, i can email them" All I am going to say is what a joker!

I cant help but laugh at the seller, and more so, a buyer.
His mesh on his tmic, must be the secret to getting to 189mph. Or is it the 'frount mounted cooling system'...pmsl
Im a carbon lover, and even i think he's gone ott.
I so would love to see a dyno sheet on this car, just to staple it to his head.

If this car has been in black it would have looked ok.. A little rice.. but the Blue and Carbon just looks odd.

So basically he has thrashed it to get it upto 189MPH and has driven it aggresively as it needed Vredestein tyres on it. the brakes must have taken a beating aswell with all the aggresive driving, not to mention the drivetrain

JDM or UK?

The final ratio on a UK car is 24.5mph per 1000 rpm, so times 24.5 by 7.5 and you get your maximum top speed.
JDM's have a lower final ratio in 6th.

Here you go:

Hi,

I am not sure what was done to it, as all the mechanical work was done by the giuy who i bought it from. He did have a list, but i cannot find it, and also had the dyne sheet there as well.

We just moved house so i am having trouble finding some of the paperwork.

Sorry i could not be of more help.
