You wait until January 1st 2011 when vat goes up 2.5% if you think it is bad now. Don't be surprised to see the average price jump to £1.35-£1.40 a litre within the next 12 months.

Maybe the fuel companies will start a price war again, drop the price for a couple of weeks then slowly put them up again until it reaches 140p a litre !! W@nkers the lot of them but have us by the short and curlies

The Shell by me is 134.9 but i travel 6 miles down the road and it's 128.9. How do they vary so much? Is it up to the individual garage to price it? However,Tesco Momentum is 121.9
5 mins up the road.
5 mins up the road.
the VAT increase wont effect fuel as its under a different tax system.
and the VAT increase will only effect non essential items. bread cheese milk ect will remain at 17.5
£1.26 near me, however another shell garage just 5 miles away wants £1.33, so i suppose its not a fixed price for each area. dont forget, 5p off each L tomorrow at participating stations!
VAT on fuel is 17.5% so will increase to 20% with everything else that has VAT at 17.5%.
So, the £1.279 per litre that I recently paid will increase to £1.306 (or more like £1.309 for cash!).
all i can say is gay as i havent heard or read anything about oil going up in price. i hate driving now as you cant really enjoy it as your always watching your wallet and the scam cameras everywhere.
:Shell (RDSA.L) is currently at 2041/2041.5 (Sell/Buy), so £20 will get you just under a single share (0.9796 shares)!
Well.... because of the local budget situations you may be seeing less and less active camera's over the coming months.
