as above im just trying to find out a bit more info on my car i have another thread up somewhere but not getting far i have a 2002 wrx sti prodrive style apparently there was a 1000 of these made in 2002 and its a worldwide limited edition i was wondering as they dont seem to have plaques so no numbers? how many of each colour was made so could narrow down my car a bit more as its blue.
and there is no mention of style on the v5 just prodrive but it seems to be right

 

Can you post up pics or your VIN number mate?

Jap Prodrive style launched at the same time as the type B revision to the bugeye. Basically a Jap STi with prodrive bits. No limit AFAIK, you paid the money and drove it away. Available in Blue and white.

Later the UK Prodrive Style was launched. 750 UK STi cars diverted to Prodrive to have the style pack fitted. The literature I have seen lists the only two colours available as blue and black. Legend has it there were only 100 black ones.

Interestingly the Jap ones in the brochures have a roof vent, might not have made it to the showrooms like that though.

thats a good bit of info there shaun i also read there was white available as well but only to order!!
so mine is perhaps 1 of 650 cars like this then? thats sort of what im trying to get down to etc as if its a limited edition i want as much info as poss about it.

 

Blue, black, silver and white though the last 2 were special order.
750 in total, 750 none prodrive style also.
Body kit was factory fitted.

thanks for the info tony and yeah i heard that some came with roof vents but did not know what ones etc!

so there was 750 of my uk model prodrive that pretty rare is it not less than alot of other limited edition models lol thats cool thanks,
and i will check the vin in the morning is there anywhere i can check this against to double check that as well you know of

 

There will be no difference between the vin numbers on the UK cars, as I said these ones are not limited editions, just have a body kit on them.
The JDm one on the other hand...

hey tony just picking your brains now as you seem pretty clued up lol!
see when you say 750 and 750 were not prodrive style you say are they not just standard bugs them? of which there are thousands, and one out of 750 is limited to me if thats the facts, as some limited editions have come in alot more than that eh

 

These were the ones allocated to the UK, its just the body kit, there were ones allocated across europe at the same time, including cyprus and malta, so lots of them around actually
