Default Best exhaust for my 99 uk turbo

I have no idea what exhaust to get, i dont want anything too loud as my last scoob had a hks exhaust and was stupidly loud, i dont know how many cats the car has and want my car to pass the mot each year.
i also dont want to spend a fortune as there are a few other bits i want too.

At the moment the car is factory standard and a bit boring, i would like the typical scoob rumble but it to be drivable on the motorway so i can speak to the passenger etc, i also want to do some track days too and i go to the ring each year.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I bought an Automax backbox and a spearate stainless centre section with no resonator and it sounds really nice. Not too loud and also comes with an adjustable silencer bung. Has been on the car for one and a hlaf years with no apparent probs and still shine up a treat.!
The back box was was aobut 130 notes brand new on ebay and the centre pipe was 30 squid from a guy on here!

Like this one but for classic!

Anything from Hayward and Scott, if you dont want silly noise then the PPP exhaust is good, has a nice sound above 4k but in town its nice (its basically a Scorpion exhaust system), but do you have a budget?
There are also the cobra systems, or get one made up for yourself.

Deffo speak to Pete @ ExuastsUK.com / CobraSport.com

they'll do you a completely custom system for a really good price. I have a track system fitted on mine which has a really nice burble, but is not silly loud (needs to pass scruitineering on a track with a noise limit).

Really nicely built and super friendly place

A bespoke pipe is prob the most sensible Idea agreed!!
ExhaustsUK, powerflow etc - you can choose your design, tail pipe , sound etc... and really competitive price!
Just check the welds for neatness before you drive off! My last powerflow was a top exhaust but there were some niggly weld nubs that just annoyed me cos they were there!
Easy enough to solve but hey.....

get a HKS silent power - really quiet from inside the car and amazing outside - not like other HKS loud exhuasts. Is amazing mate honest.

do not get a powerflow - I had one - it is only as good as the guy making it - will never be as well made as a factory one - honest.
