cheers
Also do I keep the originals or put the sti ones in - I love the seats but hate making a car something it is not - opinions please?????

They will fit just fine, straight swap.
@playtime If it is a late classic Turbo then the standard seats are certainly not crap, in fact they are probably the best seats Subaru ever put in a non STI car and arguably better than many of the newage STI seats.
The V6 STI seats are the same as them but with a different trim.

Agreed. I was just about to post the same.
There should be no need to change buckles and late classic seats are the best I've experienced in any Impreza. The trouble is in finding a set in good condition.
I have a set of Prodrive Recaros (an option for Classics) sitting in my garage. I took them out because they were not as good as the originals.

I put V3 STis in my WRX and had to change the front buckles as they wouldn't hold the belt in.
It may be because they came from wagon and mine is a saloon, but I'd definitely try them before bolting the seats in place.

Got them in now - they look nice - rear bench has loads of pot burns I think on the rear cushion - so now looking for a rear seat bottom cushion - fronts are ace though.
