I've used VHT paint on exhaust housing, no problem at all.

this will be interesting, I would say the exhaust will get way to hot for the paint

I was thinking exhaust side, but then I might just get a turbo blanket and cover it up anyway

just make it look nice paint the inlet silver and a nice blanket of the exhaust
