from my p1 box, may be normal really but worth a check
no crunching gears or anything.

but if i give some beans then let it go theres a slight whine from the front part of the box.

is there a bearing for the front part of the diff in the box.
never looked at the box every.

the box oil aint that old either, and put the good stuff in. as advised off here too. or is it worth getting some adative for it
