Nice...... spent a not too difficult hour or so fitting a nice new head unit, put the air freshner back on and it has leaked and damaged the center console, taken off the colour and almost appears to have eaten the plastic....anyone know good breakers websites who have plenty of impreza's as mines an 06 hawkeye... not sure what other models have the same interior as I know my 52 plate bugeye was different.

Think most performance cars are specialist these days. if you were lucky enough to find one in a scrap yard im pretty sure it would be stripped in seconds.
Try find a part.com, or google it. otherwise its the patient search and wait on Ebay

Have you asked your dealer, sometimes things aren't as expensive as you think.

 

Not yet..didn't have the chassis no to hand...

 

Can't bear air fresheners, super fruity smell makes me want to wretch. Proof positive now they are evil.

 

Have it painted should be no more than 20 quid

 

Is there no way you could write a letter to the makers of the air freshener and complain? Surely it shouldnt leak plus they should make the liquid out of something that doesnt eat into plastic like acid? The makers must know the majority of people are going to put the freshener on there air vents???

Did you read any of the other posts? £40 repair. It only needed painting........

 

couldn't find any local and have the stuff out of the car for as long as they wanted..I can cahnge all the bits I need over and then ebay the remainder..thanks though

One of the ones that clips on an airvent with a bottle of liquid below......any of the ones with liquid ina vessell could do it
