tyre delema

Default tyre delema

I need new front tyres had 12k out the so cant moan. I have avon zz3 225 40 18 all round back have good 4 mm even on them front have about 3mm in middle but toast at the inner and outer edges. I can get 2 avon fronts local for £200 dead or 4 falken 452s for £300. i preferto replace in fours but a have been bleeding all sorts of cash last few weeks. Opion 1... is 2 avons and geometry set up £300 or opion 2... 4 falkens £300 and geometry at later date ..... what would you do ?

on my hawkeye i have eagle f1 on the front and falken 452 on the rear of mine and its great,

stick to the road like **** and not a lot of road noise either

I'd never mix tyres - I did it once to my cost - 99% of the time it's fine, but when you do reach the limit, one set will break away before the other, so you change the handling characteristics of the car. The 'problem' is exagerated by the weather as well

Spend about 330 quid and get the Vredstein Sessanta's instead, leaps ahead of the falkens for not much more

I have the Falkens and haven't tried the Sessantas, but based upon comments I have heard I will probably try them for my next set of tyres. The Falkens are great tyres though and you can't go wrong with them unless you drive like a tw@t
