Default Unable To Re-Tune Digital TV

I bought some time ago a Sony Wega KD32DX50U with the idea that it is DIGITAL and therefore should last some time.

After a few years the psu failed and it went into the garage. Now I need a TV and have had it repaired. I can no longer tune digital stations!! WTF?

This appears to be something to do with Freeview being changed back last year to a different type of digital which means that my FUTURE PROOF digital TV perversely only works on analogue

Other than buying a freeview box, is there anything I can do? Sony website doesn't offer a lot of help...

AFAIK a digital TV does not automatically have a freeview decoder.......looks like you will have to buy a freeview box

I've got a few boxes in the house, the best one is an Icecrypt one but not all that different from a cheapie Bush offering from Tesco
