Default Clutch fitting price

Hi guys,
Can anyone give me an idea on how much I should be paying to have a new clutch and fly fitted on a 5 speed WRX, or recommend anyone in the Cambridge area??? Thanks in advance,
Tim

I recently went to scoobyteknix to have a new gearbox and clutch fitted which was done on ramps, they did it in around 3 hours .

Another guy turned up just after me who was having a clutch, timing belt and water pump fitted and Brian did this with engine crane all in 3 hours too .

So if you take the car to a garage that specialise in Subaru's they should be able to do it in the same time as these boys so you just need to know the hourly rate, plus the cost of clutch kit which can vary depending what you want or power you are running. If your running less that 350/350 then you ought to be ok with a Exedy pink kit IMHO which you can get for around £150.

Mr Clutch have quoted £248 inc vat, they're based 20 miles away ( chelmsford ) and they know their subaru's. I think thats good?

You won't find a genuine Exedy Organic Pink Box (ie uprated) anywhere for £150.

3-4 hours is the norm for a clutch change.

Ah, the SN stutter. I wish they would fix it!

You got yourself a great deal and the lightweight forged flywheel will make a very nice difference

to be honest you should not be paying over 200 to fit a clucth it only takes three hours, alot of garage will say 4 and half hours but they must be making tea every five minutes you only need to men when it comes to drop the box and pop it back in and i would not let mr clucth fit my a dust cap on my wheel but then thats mr clutch in southampton the word monkeys springs to mind

I crane the motor out every time. I can pull the motor out in 45min as long as all goes well. The only disadvantage of this method is you have to drop the coolant.
