Its not worth 50K - in my opinion of course.

They're only confident in a 36,000 miles warranty FFS - what does that tell you?

Having said that I bet they'll sell all 75 grossing a cool 3.75 million

Where did you get 53K from - its 59K

So 10K more expensive, but at least it comes with 3 year/60,000 mile warranty

.... which isn't worth the paper it's written on.

And good luck selling it when the warranty runs out.

Already know of one guy who is looking at a 2007 model, about to run out of warranty, for £38k

My boss had one of the first batch of GTR's when they arrived in the UK.. Hes on ALOT of money.. ( sickening really ) .. He sold the car last month as the running costs were crazy!!

Amazing cars but you have to be silly rich to run one, even at the fairly cheap purchase price..

54k second hand, 9 grand for a rear bumper, 5 grand for a bonnet, 3 grand for front brake pads and if someone kicks your bumper while your engine is running your looking at a new bonnet, bumper, ecu which totals up to a hell of a lot of money.

someone made a great point about the cossie the other day, okay it may be 50 grand but you've got a fully uprated car, forged engine, massive brakes, a decent suspension set up and no disrespect to the lichfield cars which i do agree is the better propersition, 10 years down the line people are going to want the cossie more than there cars just because of the name and that it was factory built.

Think I have said this before But Prodrive offered a similar specc'd car 2 years back for 40k, all uprated internals etc, 400bhp, binned due to lack of interest
Out of the 2 I would have gone for the Prodrive one

Subaru rang me today and offered me one - said it was £50k.

Only 75 to be available makes it a viable option to buy and garage ..... interest on £50k is £1,500 a year - I suspect that this car will increase (unused) at this figure as a minimum.

After 10 years sell it - keep the mileage under 1,000 miles and keep it mint. If Interest Rates remain the same my £50k would then be worth about £70k in the Bank (Interest re-invested) ...... the Impreza Cosworth could be worth £100k?

It is a serious investment opportunity ..... small risk that it may not make £100k - but, we all know, it will be worth £50k at the very least after 10 years. Loss of £20k interest, £2k a year to have a cracking car in the garage? Hmmmmmmmm, interesting.

A GTR to drive also appeals at £54k though!!

Because there will be 75 of these.

Knock off the 10 which will be written off by Clarkson and his idiotic journalist friends. and you have 65 .... out of these another 10 will be lost over 10 years - that leaves 55.

50 will have been used.

5 will be garaged, unused ..... and I would own one of those - 1 of 5 of something desirable will be worth a lot of £££££££££££££££'s IMO.

10 years down the line 400bhp will be the WRX, and 550bhp will be the standard STI before the PPP

Waste of money IMHO you can build one with a similar spec for a lot less. For 50k I'll have the 911 turbo everytime I won't even have to think about it. It's too much money for Subaru seriously over hyped. I ain't bothered how rare it is, I think your mad to waste money on a car like that.

You pull a bird she asks what do you drive before you finish she has walked off, it will be great to take it out on meets or the odd track day but that's it. The 911 will never be out of place anywhere....

Litchfield Type 20 is cheaper, is know to be very reliable (unlike the current 2.5 STi), within a whisker of the Cosworth STi for performance and the dealer is much more understanding.

I bet June will be July and even August!
