Default Japanese Imports

Why is it that now Im looking to buy a version 5 or 6 sti there are very few about and the prices of fresh type R's are very strong. I am looking for either a type r version 5/6 or wagon preferably in cool grey but dont mind blue or white but there are none about. All the tidy type r's on autotrader are more expensive than P1's, and I cant even find a single wagon for sale. Any of you guys know of any?

You will find it hard to find a tidy low milage type r the reason is the £ against the JPY importers cant afford to bring them in the country.therefore clean cars are bringing a premium.

Like the first one mate but either want a type r or 5 door, the 2nd one just doesnt look right to me and the last one, is that the type r that Vicky Butler Henderson drove against Jeremy Clarckson in A 400 BHP Escort Cossie? very nice car anyway.

Yes that last one, 6.5k which is great, if it had not had 3 engine rebuilds and over 100k on the clock hence the 22k bill
IF i sold mine (less than a 1/3 of the mileage over that one) it would be similary priced (mine has been in the uk since jan 99, ie from new), but that one is going on the hype of it being on tv, still doesnt make it a good car or vfm but you can keep watching it getting hammered
