ABS light comes on some times

Default ABS light comes on some times

hi all looking for a bit of help here got an 02 bugeye non-turbo and lately the ABS light has come on but when i turn the engine of and restart it it goes out and doesnt come on again for a while does anyone have a clue please. i was thinking ABS sensor a bit mucked up or corroded but if so which one. all help greatly appreciated thanks.

I have the same problem, so days it comes on, others it's fine and doesn't

very likely to be a wheel sensor

you can have the fault codes read, not sure if you need a code reader on a newage car, but on a classic you can do it yourself by bridging 2 connections under the dash

i had this in my classic at one point.

went to the local subaru dealer who put it on the dinostic reader, it came up with drivers rear.

got my self a new sensor, removed it all fromt he hub etc, and when i went to unplug the sensor wire from the main wire, this was under the rear seat. i noticed that the clip was not fully pushed in. the cause looked like the padding etc that was around the clip from new was stopping the clip, clipping all the way and over time it had wiggled lose.

so it could be worth finding out what sensor it is, then check the plug.

thanks i will give it a look dont want to have to start replacing sensors now aswell, i have had enough problems since i got it and its cost a small fortune to get it back to a good car again. i think i might have got myself a lemon lol. thanks again
