Default different back box sounds.

hi im after a list of different make/style backboxes so i can do a bit of research,im after a specific sound from my scoob, preferably 2.5 inch, so it mates to my centre decat, nothing really quiet, but nothing near as loud as a blitz nur spec, somewhere in between!im looking for a deep aggressive growl that aint crazy loud.what have u guys got on yours?any help would be much appriciated.

There are a good range of exhaust to choose from if the blitz is to loud ,you can go for the Hks or anything by haywood & scott.Might well be worth listening to a few on you tube to get an idea or turning up at 1 of your local meets and seeing what people have fitted. I opted for afterburner vortex -loud & subtle when required.

I am currently looking for a cat back system, my research has been done mainly on you tube. Just type in the name of the back box you are interested in and there are loads of clips. You might want to consider a custom job. I am currently getting quotes of up to £100 cheaper than pre made cat back systems, try Stainless Steel Exhausts, Custom Built Bespoke T304 Performance Exhaust Systems :: UK or Exhausts UK Custom Stainless Steel Exhausts.

Lots of people like the afterburner vortex.

probably not,i love the genome,at this moment in time i am so skint and just weighing up my options as if the genome were to come off,i maybe able to find a cheaper alternative,i just cant find the exact tone im after yet there seems to be so many scoobs that sound exactly how i want mine to sound, cant understand it at all.i expect i will keep the genome as i will probably regret getting rid sooooo much.it always seems that other scoobs sound nicer but its probably just me being daft.hows the vortex?is it loud?

the vortex sounds great, not as loud as people say it is imo, i dont find it droney at all on the motorway, its a nice rumble.

i did do a vid of it but its far too big to upload for some reason... its only 40secs long but its 105mb in size. photobucket have a limit of 10mb haha

what about this vortex extreme

Hi,
I did a similar thread on here last week .
I have the Racebox ( which is a 3.5" ) with a Straight Through Centre.. IMO still not quite the scooby noise I liked and a little too quiet.. I too found the Ninja2 and Afterburner too loud for annoying the neighbours..dont get me wrong they sound great but a bit too attention-drawing ..so just ordered the TSL Group N Backbox .. 4" with a good deep tone and imo a good inbetween the Ninja and the Racebox and Prodrive style and sound
Here:
Subaru Impreza WRX/STi Group N sports exhaust back box on eBay (end time 19-Feb-10 11:23:50 GMT)
Cant wait to get it on.

Steve
