I think 450 on a classics internals wouldent last long unless you ran it at very low boost

Not a good idea to go over 400 long term standard engine ...

My own fault for getting mixed up with the model years lol

Anyhoo, im still thinking 450 might be a bit much for a standard engines internals, I'm sure some of the more technical minded people will be along and let you know though

I would think the 20g would be better on STD internals it should make 370 to 380 bhp.

V7 STI engine safe to 380 bhp with usual fuel mods,in my opinion the strongest 20lt Subaru engine built,

mine has a baby H on at 400 bhp.... 450 is not a problem.

IMHO

dunx

P.S. You may only make around 440 bhp realistically....

My version 7 bug ran 398bhp on standard internals not a problem. It just all depends on how healthy your engine is i.e mileage, and previous owners care for it,fuel its been run on etc

ran a 20g at 400 and now on T at 451bhp on my blob sti standard internals and it is driven hard daily..

mapped a fair few into mid to late 400s no issue

the bug v7 sti engine is not as good power wise as blob, think they changed the heads but still as strong.
