Default hi from a new member (and a few questions)

Hello this is my first post. Im looking to spend about the 10k mark on a scooby. I was hoping for a year 2003 or newer, and something with about 300 hp. Can anyone point me in the right direction for which model to look at? And if they come with any sort of gadgets like changing the power to the rear/front wheels etc?

Thanks!

For that money you're looking a 2003/4 UK STI with PPP.
2005 onwards UK STIs have a DCCD, easy to spot from the exterior from the lips over the rear arches.
I'd go JDM if possible, twin scroll turbo with better spool up for starters, but they don't have the burble.
10k would also get you a nicely modified WRX at 300BHP if you like subtlety.
And ,of course, welcome. Bob

Seriously though...dont think theres a better scoob to get for 10K with its very strong engine and box...so cheap to mod compared to others.

This is the Subaru bumft:
DCCD - DRIVER CONTROLLED CENTER DIFFERENTIAL

THE PLANETARY CENTER DIFFERENTIAL IN THE WRX STI SPLITS ENGINE TORQUE IN VARIABLE RATIOS BETWEEN THE FRONT AND REAR WHEELS. IT ALSO GIVES THE DRIVER A CHOICE – LEAVE RATIO CHOICE TO COMPUTERS OR SET IT YOURSELF.

The PPP or Prodrive Performance Pack is a performance upgrade offered by Subaru. It comprises of an alternate exhaust system and a re-map of the car's ECU resulting in a 30-40bhp increase in power.

That's a hefty torque figure.

Welcome to SN!!

I know I always recommend this place, and I swear I dont get a bung if he sells a car but...
RRH Autos Ltd
Ask for rich he will get you the right car for the right money, plus being a trader there is a bit more peace of mind, especially for your first scooby.

Do a search, there's hundreds, if not thousands of threads on the differences.

I'm pretty sure its a kit thats fitted once a dealer takes delivery (don't quote me on it though!!) so it's not on the log book, but it is definately certificated and serial numbered. oh and welcome to the club! (and buy a shell reward card- you'll be there alot!!!!! hehehehe)
