Did a p/x deal with my P1.

It will be going up for sale again shortly unless I can find work but I've got a little VTR to run just now so I'm thinking of colour coding it, standard mudflaps and maybe some new wheels, depends what it looks like when coded.

Its only 330/350 at the mo but it pulls hard in every gear. Very quick spool up, even with the 20g.
I'd even say is spools quicker that the P1 did. Must be due to the bored out block.
Thinking of going to see my local mapper to see if he can do anything with it.

I dont miss the P1. Suspension was too hard for me and 2 doors were no use for 3 kids.

Its actually working out cheaper running this and the Saxo daily than running just the P1. Worst case, I'll SORN it and just run the Saxo

isnt there a new law coming in where if u dont insure an sorn the car they will take it away? was in paper but dont think it will go through. id love a p1 but too dear i thinks. is that power a bit low for a 20g? something must be holding down the power. im sure your mapper will get more out of it

i can see already where your losing power. u see your dump valve? its a diamond shape where as the intercooler is more of a triangle. think u might see a hole under the dump valve an loosing power through that. i done same thing. fitted newage tmic but kept old dump valve then noticed it. thats what it looks like on pics. i could be wrong

Its coming off anyway. I'm too old for dump valves.

I did the same mod to my old classic and can remember the dump valves being different.

I'll have a look tomorrow.

Yes, I made a bracket for mine. Used the left OE hole and moved the dump valve down till the hole lined up, then made a bracket to join the other two up until I got the correct dump valve.
Thats my job for tomorrow.

Well spotted.

I've decided to go and see my mapper tomorrow. I'd like to do a power run to see exactly what its producing and if he car open map the ECU.

Tesco99. I dont rate the cheap dump valves. I'd rather have the standard one.
There are reasons why the Veeport's are £200 and the Baileys are £40
