more power

Default more power

hi i got myself an 04 wrx but was thinking of exchanging it for an sti as i fond a great deal to save on mods well mostly remap.lol.. how much more power would i expect to see with a pro drive sports cat and a s/s cat back system on the sti? and would an up pipe make a difference? thanks

Depends on model year of STi. Circa 300bhp if it is a 2ltr with the full PPP.

it an 04 sti its just standard at 265 bhp wth no ppp but i have already bought a pro drive cat and scorpion cat back exhaust was just goin to put that on i would be happy with around 280-290 bhp would these mods be enough? cheers

I would go for a replacement panel filter, uprated fuel pump and remap. You should see well north of 300bhp then. I believe this level of tune would give you good 320+ on that year of car.

Easily. (once mapped for them).

How far do you want to go/spend and is it just a bit more power you're after or something more akin to driving an Sti.

If it's the later, sell the WRX and get and STi. It'll save you a lot of money in modifications! if It's the former, a good exhaust system and remap should comfortably see you in the late 200s bhp and torque and make for a great daily driver.

no need to change the upipe on the sti.. no cat or restriction in it.

ppp downpipe and cat back around 320~330bhp
