Why would you want a louder dump valve than the forge.

If you drive a scoob won't that attract enough attention.

the HKS gets my vote. When I had it fitted, the mechanics at the garage gathered out the front to hear the car drive off. Should of seen their faces when it dumped. At exactly the same time I thought "oh no what have I done"!!!!!1

- it's mint!

PS. Hello to Moles Dad, it was on your advice that I bought this thing. Wonderful!

Saw one on an American web site-think it was called "go faster bits" or something like that.Claimed to be the worlds loudest.Had the unique feature of reciculating and venting to atmosphere! Also the R2D2(not a joke) ones on the Taka Kaira site are meant to be loud.

Scottdg, glad you like it...do you have a full decat yet? (flames)

Cunning, I would be very wary of goods which havn't been "time tested" also it starts to get a bit silly with 45 quid here and 50 quid there.

Go for "tried and tested" tuning parts or at least products that have high acclaim on this BBS.

Hope you get what you want

Cheers all, MD.

Moles Dad,

DP goes on tomorrow and then it's off to PE to get the ECU looked at.

Should, fingers crossed be seeing 265-270bhp come Tuesday. Still a little behind you from memory!! What was it 280. Whats the full list of mods on your car now MD?

Cheers, Scottdg

Scottdg, you will see quite a difference with the dp change, spools up quicker and produces miles more torque

mods so far are:
1. PPP ECU
2. HKS EVC
3. HKS SQV
4. Pipercross induction.
5. Pace FMIC
6. Scoobysport downpipe.
7. STi centre pipe.
8. Prodrive backbox.

then on the handling and tart front:
1. Removeable roll cage.
2. 4 point harnesses.
3. STi rear lights.
4. Clear indicators.
5. Morrettes.
6. 17" Speedlines.
7. Front strut brace.
8. Bilstein/STi struts and Eibach springs.
9. Private Scooby plate.

Then the laters list

1. Scoobysport centre and backbox.
2. Bigger turbo.
3. Water injection.
4. Water spray.
5. NOS.
6. Bigger brakes.
7. 3 pod and guages.
8. Bigger wheels.
9. Etc.

What have you done so far and what MY?

Cheers all, Moles Dad.

Edited to say; was 280 bhp before we turned up the boost

As the HKS is all over the place in here, has anyone compared the purple doobie at the front with the gold one? I've got the purple one & just wondering what the difference was?

I have the Blitz on mine and I have made people on the street jump as well. I haven't heard what the HKS sounds like so I can't compare. They may be even. We need to hear from someone that has heard both on a scoob to tell us.

Cheers,

Wrexy.

Thumbs up

Hi,

Check out www.turbosmart.com.au

My brother has just fitted their Supersonic DV to his car and it's the loudest one I've ever heard (about 3 times louder than my Forge item).

The trumpet has a 2.5" diameter. You can actually listen to one in action on the website too. Sounds like someone cracking a massive whip.

Never heard the HKS one but it's WAY WAY louder than the Blitz and the Blitz is LOUD.

I'll try to post a pic later.

Cheers

Rich

Here goes:

I just got the HKS SQV put on my car at the weekend... straight from OEM DV.

After the first few gear changes when I thought it was cool... I started to think what have I done. Now after 60 miles of driving I am getting used to the really loud whoosing noise.

I got cught up inthe school run this morning people jumping all over the place!

It must be said it does look very impressive under the bonnet! A small jet turbine like device sitting there!!

The HKS is very loud and has a very distictive noise, not so much like a air brake noise!

Mark,
Did you buy it off the 'Evil One'?
Just been talking to him about buying his strut brace.
Cheers,
Mark.

Mark,

I did buy it from the Evil one, yes.

The strut brace is mint and still clean as well... if I had the money you wouldn't be having much of a conversation with him!
