has anybody heard of ib racing from holland

as ive had an offer off them for my scooby which iam selling

the lad wants to pay up front by internet banking & collect car nx week end when hes across

is this a scam or genuine company

 

I think somebody sold a car on here to Holland a few weeks ago without any problems. I think he would be taking the risk transferring the money before he collects it. Just make sure you export the car with the DVLA. He cant register the car with a foreign address so dont let him try.
Never heard of IB Racing and cant find anything on the net
Just check with the bank once you have the money that its 100% yours.
I am fairly sure International Bank transfers are one way only no way they can be reversed. (check with the bank to be sure)
Only give out your name Iban, Bic or Swift code they don't need any other information account numbers etc

I think if i was you mate id ask for cash on collection.

 

You cant travel with large amounts of cash and in some countries illegal to pay for expensive goods with cash so transfers or Bankers Cheques are normal.

just doesnt sit right with me i want to shift car so i can buy afew bits for new sti but not getting done( seams along way to come for a car)

Id stick to cash on collection your always hearing off new ways people are getting conned. Its just my opinun

 

I buy my cars in the UK (I live in France) and I went to Glasgow and back in one day for my current car (it was worth it) they are to expensive in the rest of Europe.
If a bank transfer is 100% safe why not I wouldn't change money in the UK I lost a lot of money the last time I did.
Its your car and if you are sure you can sell it for the same amount quickly tell him no deal.

 

There have been a few elises from up here in Scotland sold to new owners over in Holland without any problems.

 

Thats why i wrote it was just my opinun. I only deal in cash espeacilly big sums i dont know anoth about banks to comment on transfers etc.

With out sounding really thick does this transfer thing clear immediatly?
