Fuel pump circuit on UK MY99
I have bought a Tracker system that you can track yourself via Text message also allows you to cut the fuel pump via text message can anybody tell me where to cut into the fuel pump circuits
if anybody ever steals my car i can send it a text message and it send back its location i can then go and deal with the offenders myself and with a few other nutters, also has lots of other features like will text me if alarm is triggered or door is opened also has sos button you can press and it will text any programmed mobile phone and state location
£82 delivered just need sim card with credit to insert into it

I personally would not cut into the Black/Red wire as this is the main feed wire for the pump & it carries quite a high electrical load, which has been known to burn out alarm immobilizers if wired through them.
A much safer and reliable route would be to go to the (metal, round can) fuel pump relay (as Kevin said this has a green block connector) situated at the bottom of the drivers "A" post under the dashboard... You should find that one of the wires is coloured Green/Red and this wire is the low current 12v feed to operate the relay & would be ideal to interrupt for your purpose.

This is a must for any impreza owner thats spent £££ modding their car if it does go missing track it yourself much better than the run of the mill trackers where thieves know where to find them and rip them out

Well in that case then you could use either of the 2 wires mentioned.
The most conveinent place to interupt a wire would be where the Black/Red (pump feed) wire emerges from the front vehicle harness to go through a Large block connector to connect to the rear vehicle harness. You will find this block at the very bottom of the drivers "A" post where it meets the sill. You will have to remove the long plastic sill cover to gain access to it.

GPS trackers are so easy blocked tho. thats my only concern, robbing ******* know it too!! cant go wrong with a VHF/GPS/GSM combined tracker. especially on a scoob as the robbing ******* would expect the car to be tracked up!

also.. if you have a GPS tracker you car can not be found in containers, or wherehouses where they inevitably end up!! id not waist your time fitting it buddy!
Quite common now for the theives to break into ur house and steal the keys no good to them if you have immobilised the car via sms, i think this is a kit worth fitting
