Question

I'm really tempted to get this for my MY99, got a letter in the post saying the above was available for £275+vat plus the £80 DOT fee = £403

1. What do u reckon on the plate itself, I think its pretty cool, SCB pretty similar to scoob, also happens to be my initials
2. Is the asking price about right?
3. Does the insurance company need to be told if I get it?

Be careful posting that sort of info here. Others have done so only to find someone else buys the plate and tries to then flogg it on at a higher price. Number plate Gazumping!

If you like it and can afford it then why not get it? Go on go on go on you know you want to!

Don't know who sent u the letter, but you can buy J17 SCB direct from the DVLA all in for £250 www.dvla-som.co.uk
You can also get J555 SCB which I think is cooler with the old sponsorship tie in, or J14 SCB (J1 A SCB ?) all £250.
Regards
Chuck

As Tim wisely says, if you want it do it quickly before some scumbag beats you to it.

I agree with above. There are loads on the DVLA website and they charge £250 all in. The only other thing you have to pay for is the actual plates to put on the car. Loads of after market plates sales make a packet by selling DVLA reg's at a higher price. I've bought two from there and the service is excellent. Literally takes a couple of days, depending how soon you can get to a Vehicle Registration office.
Get to that site!!

Steve
