I've just got one (insurance replacement job) and something is bugging me. The drivers windscreen wiper arm does not have the spoiler on it and I think it looks rubbish compared to my previous scoob. I've been told that it should be standard on UK MY00. Does anyone else have this or have I been shafted. Perhaps the factory ran out on the last few cars? Dread to think how it could have got broken necessitating the dealer to add a replacment.
Sounds trivial but I was gutted to lose the first car and I want this one just the same. Replacement will cost £70 - eeek!
What does the spoiler do - can I blag the insurance co. that it is not safe to drive at high speed in the rain so that they pay for it?

If it's from a Subaru dealer, tell them to pull the other one and get it fitted, mentioning that if this is the standard of their PDI, then you won't be going back to have it serviced.
Otherwise tell everyone who these cheapskate robbers are. It may be trivial to you, but evidently it is seventy quid to them!!

Agree with BarryK.
The wiper spoiler is part of the car.
If it wasn't there when you received the car it should be replaced F.O.C. by the dealer.
Good luck.

The line of command is slightly complicated -Privilege paid for the car, a seperate company aquired it on their behalf, jamjar.com seem to have registered and delivered it and it was bought from Intermoto Subaru in Liverpool. Anyway a message has got back to me that the part will be posted to me at home!!
I'm still suspicious of where the original went but the rest of the car seems OK - even got locking wheel nuts, side strips, tracker etc replaced.

Ha,ha, well if it passed through Liverpool, and it wasn't nailed down............
Oh heck, and I was born there. I wonder if I was stolen!
Anyway, if you want to get anything done in this country..........
Better luck with the new car see you at NM5 29/4.
