Any times from TOTB yet?

 

I've heard it's pissing down!

 

I'm stuck in work - first year in 5 i have missed I would be interested in the times if anyone has info.

Have just heard the Focus in my avatar has done a 9.51 @ 147.

Yip. Not really a Focus either - spaceframe built for a carbon Focus WRC bodykit. Running a Cosworth YB with around 800bhp.

so not really a full trimmed up road car. the ethos of TOTB has long gone. used to be fully trimmed and road fuel when it started. suppose no one wants to see that anymore. they see 10 second cars as the norm and anything else is crap. if they only knew how much a 10 second car actually cost

 

That car is in the pro drag class with only two other cars. 4WD class is still full of the cars you're talking about.

 

First TOTB I have missed in the last few years aswell, but looking at the weather I am not fussed. You can't beat TOTB when it is a red hot day though. Fantastic.

 

bit crap for the cars though. more methanol at the inlet manifold on a hot day and it aint that cheap

 

you're having a laugh aren't you? AFP car, zen et al are a long way from road cars

Where did you come in the end on the handling and what time?

 

what times did andy forrest get, i saw him get a few 9s on the day also how did he do on the top speed run?did he get 200, the blue skyline was awesome as was the carbon ford focus,the gobstopper was again one off the top cars

 

I did a 41.16sec in the end which was around 15th place i think , one place better than dynamix

 

RCM impreza won the 1/4 in 9.4sec and 188mph on the standing km, i think Andy F did 9.8sec on the 1/4.

Yes mate it was on the long left hander mostly just coming in to fast tbh

All I know is Ollie won overall but MLR won the team event...

 

 

Banny, very first run, not even driven the car at all, low boost of 1.3 bar, stupidly set of in 2nd gear, went to change to 2nd (thinking it was in 1st) and pulled the handbrake instead, realised what i had done, then changed to 3rd, then 4th, so a **** run. Data logs show i went to 60mph with a 2.1 60 foot, then slowed down to 26mph, then went through the quarter at 12.1 @ 132mph!

We then called it day!
