Default my first scooby, what's the keypad for?

hi i only had my scooby wrx 2005 for 3 weeks now,and just pulled open the fusebox flap, its to the right of the steering wheel, and down low a bit, well there was this numbered keypad?,what is this?anyway i looked at my manual and there's no mention of it in there? what is it for? and how do i use it? anyone got instructions on it?,i guess its got something to do with the immoboliser,or something security related, lucky i did'nt disconnect the battery if it is,since i had to change a blown bulb in the headlight.

Im guessing that its for the Sigma alarm. Is it a two row pad with * and #?

its part of the factory standard alarm (cat1) its used to input codes into the ecu of the alarm and imobilser to activate or deactivate some of the alarm features. IE turn off cockpit sensers adjust shock sensers ect.
and if your lucky like me you can have it set so you input a code to start your car

Is it an M30 that they used? Ive got an M30 on an old Porsche. The manual will probably found as a 'Sigma M-Series'. Youll probably needto contact Sigma directly though, as youll need the original pre-programmed PIN, which should have been given to yuo along with the manual instructions...

A Subaru dealer will tell you the code and change it for you if you want a easier code to remember

If you type in the correct sequence of numbers you can launch the missilies out of the boot, and if you do this with the bright switch engaged they go into nuke mode for serious kick @rse.
Don't attempt to do this from cold because the nuclear cybanautic reactor has to be warmed up for optimum performance.
I hope this helps.

ive got a 2001 bug eye. and im lucky enough to no someone that fits orignal sigma alarms to all subaru makes and models when there imported to this country as uk models! ive got an 08 scoob ecu alarm on mine and an australian key pad. the dif between the uk key pad and oz one is that mine lights up. wen my m8 fitted the system he imputed a key code so when i come to start my car i have to imput this code to be able to start the scoob. im not sure if a scooby dealer can do this for you???

hope this helps?
