Default fmic whine help !!!

right guy's had a whining on boost since i fitted my front mount in jan,bit annoying but could live with it till i got chance to take everything off again and check all pipes.

thought it was an air leak from compressor to hard pipe as i noticed a whisp of oil so took all to bits again and retightened everything,no movement in any joints really tight !!! now the whine is more prominent (only whines on boost by the way and doesn't lose boost/drop off) its really bugging me now and just wondered if anyone else has had this problem.

car is a 94' wrx running 1.4 bar td05 16g

checked all joints with brake cleaner as well but all ok

any help/advise would be great

cheers Tim

mine sounds the same mate an its running fine, you said your running 1.4bar of boost just to be on the safe side i would drop it to 1.34bar at the most coz when you start going over that you could hit problems

peaks at 1.4 drops off to 1.34/5ish

Grant74 pipes have clearance tho not much

it only used to do it at full boost in 4th and 5th but noise is now noticable when boost reaches 0.5 bar so as you can imagine its damn annoying to drive

cheers so far tho guys

Tim
