Downpipe question????
Im on the lookout for a openneck 3"inch downpipe at the moment, my question is, what is better a 3"inch all the way or a 3"inch which tapers into a 2.5"
Reason I asked is that my car is off the road at the moment for some new mods, i did have a 3"inch twin mouth downpipe which tapered into 2.5". but wanted a open neck downpipe now. car needs a new exhaust system, so doesnt matter if its better for it to taper into a 2.5" or a full 3" as ill find a exhaust that will fit onto it.
The car in question is a STi version 6 has a VF35 turbo, walbro fuel pump, induction kit, ecutek remap, ported polished headers, STi newage intercooler, probably pushing about 330bhp

Hi
Our Revolution downpipe is open neck and is 3" all the way through to the flange where it fits the rest of the system.
It has always been regarded as one of the better pipes for increased bhp cars.
Stainless steel also.
Thanks
Keith

scoobyboy1 - if you want to be prepared for bigger power in the future you can get 3inches downpipe and then whichever you want - 3inches or 2.5inches catback with reduction flange.
Anyway -2.5inches is told to be good enough for good 350HP - if that helps you somehow.
