Default Insurance is asking for Proof of Manufacturers security system on a Blobeye?

I have a 53 Plate UK Wrx which is fitted with the Manufacturers standard Cat1 Alarm/immobiliser...

The Insurance is asking for proof of this !!
Now i don't have any proof !! & with cars i have had in the past that have a manufacturers system fitted, No proof documentation was with those either
Question ?.

Do any of you other Blobeye owners have a manufacturers declaration/certificate ??
If so, could i be real cheeky & have a Copy ??

Thanks in anticipation

Dean

find someone that fits alarms and they will do you a new certificate for about 15 quid after checked your alarm.

i've got one, never been asked for it though.

it's car specific and is tagged to the VIN no. and alarm serial no. so it can't be transfered. might be worth getting in touch with Subaru UK as it says the pink copy is to be retained by a SUBARU representative.

this isn't guaranteed though as i've got both copies so that kind of ***** up the idea of the customer having one and a back up somewhere in an official system!

i'd happily email you a copy but if your car got nicked and someone did a basic bit of checking to the VIN and serial number you'd be fooked

not the news you probably wanted to hear, but hope it helps

+1 -- rang Subaru UK as my insurance wanted proof, and they were very helpful, were going to send me confirmation, but I eventually found it so did not need it in the end

Have you checked your docment wallet? Both my Blobs and my Classic had documentation relating to the alarm included in the wallet from new.

My insurance company only wanted proof of my alarm/immobiliser if it was stolen (I do have then both), thats with performance direct.
