Default Intermittent radio..........

The alpine stereo in my car decided that it didnt want to play any music to my speakers (CD and radio), it was intermittent for a few days then just stopped. I swapped the stereo out for a spare I had which was fine for a few days and then that did the same. The display stays on and the controls all work. Seems too much of a coincidence for 2 radios to do the same thing, is there an iternal amp or something that could be giving up the ghost? Can it be bypassed if there is?

Andy.

you have aloose connection in the wiring.check that all the terminals/connections are tight and the wires are all tight in there terminals.if you have a multi plug fitted check ts the correct one or buy another one.halfords do all the ranges from make of car to fit certain makes of stereo.but its defo wiring.sounds like a loose connection

Cheers mate. I've checked all the wiring and it looked sound which is why I thought maybe it was an amp. The multiplug is the correct one for the car/stereo so I wouldn't have thought there were any issues here. I'll take a closer look.

Thanks
Andy.
