I did hear that the STI lights do have different wires, don't take this as 100% true though.

I have morettes fitted to my WRX and they needed additional wiring

The Std lights work on a H4 bulb (twin filament) for both dipped and main beam, one live and two earth feeds to the bulb, the live is on for both dipped and main and the earths switch (e.g dip = Live & Dip earth, Main = Live & High earth) so the dip and main are noton togeather as standard.
The indicators should plug straight in as should the side lights what you will need is an adaptor to spilt the single 3 'pin' into the two feeds you need for the seperate main/dip bulbs, you could earth the the dip straight to the chassis so it stays on when the mains come on instead of turning off, however this will flash the dips with the mains on flash to pass.
You will need to get hold of the correct connectors if you want to avoid cutting the car or lights harness, or contact George at Chang Fao imports (USA) for a harness. You could just get hold of a H4 plug to fit onto the existing connector on the car then wire from this direct to the new lights, cutting the existing plugs from the headlights.

Dive right in and fit HID's at the same time....

Easier than messing around.

IMHO
