was thinking of buying a boost controler to go with my power fc but was thinking that maybe it will control any solenoid, even my subaru 3 port? If this is the case why do people use the apexi boost kit? Surely it just controls a voltage to switch solenoid? At the mo I have manual control as I thought I needed apexi kit. What have other people done?

assumnig as you mention 3port that you have an early car then the powerfc won't control the boost over 1bar.. built in safety feature due to map sensor limit
