Default The truth about Litchfield Imports

They don't just supply desirable new/used cars vehicles.

Most people who know my car (previously known as the "ScoobyNet Project Spec C") and have read the various articles on here and within various magazines, will realise that Litchfield Imports have been involved since the start of all my project/development work. From supplying the vehicle originally, initial engine mods / suspension supply/advice (including liaison with other key suppliers on new developments) to supplying me a monster engine build and advising and supplying parts for the recent "changes" to make an awesome road going vehicle.

Some of you may think that Litchfield Imports are only about new or desirable used car supply.... you could not be further from the truth.

Their wealth of experience in the performance market has given them the ability to supply all manner of performance parts from an airfilter to a fully built race engine.

From development of their "Type" Subaru's (20 & 25) they have probably completed more testing and development than any other Subaru establishment in the UK, as regards to road going vehicles and they have certainly played a key part in the evolution of Subaru Tuning in the UK.

Suffice to say that experience and knowledge count for a lot.

Hat's off to Litchfield and just so you know they are still certainly "in to" their cars. When I went to visit Litchfield Imports yesterday, I was shown around a rather nice Koenigsegg they have sought and supplied to a customer. Unfortunately it sounds a tad nicer when rev'd then a Scoob!!!!

I grabbed some pictures so will get them up later!

This is not an excuse for some **** kissing (anybody that knows me will realise I don't do that lol), but the kind of appreciation that I have for companies like Litchfield Imports is something that I think is worth sharing.

Now..... I wonder if I will get a drive of the Koenigsegg!!!

Could'nt agree more

The only independent garage Iv ever been to that is as proffesional, if not more than big car dealerships. In fact the best customer service I have received yet from a car dealership has to be Lexus & these guys are as good at it. (except that Lexus gave me new a GS450h as a courtesy car, but I suppose an Impreza classic has its charms as well!! )

Only recently dealt with Ian Litchfield, great service. Ordered CAI and never realised piece of hose was missing. Ian phoned me that night to tell me and bits were in post next day. great service and will be using again in the future. its personal touches like this that set some traders apart from others.

I seem to remember a few years ago he had got a Ford GT in for a customer and as soon as it arrived the gearbox and engine were out for power upgrades at the customer's request.

He certainly gets some interesting machinery going through.

That was the reason I had gone to Litchfield Imports on Monday, after speaking to Iain on Sunday. The plan was to rape my current Spec C and build something again.... but a bit more special. Unfortunately I was awaiting quotes from Tracktive on completing another mega build, but was pipped to the post by another buyer of the Red Spec C.
