Just changed the springs on my 04 WRX and dropping the shocker out is not a nightmare, its just a bit of a pain in the **** at the rear as access to one of the bolts is hampered by the positioning of the seat belt roller. (the front is a doddle, but still best as a two man job) Not sure if this is the same on a classic though. With two of us working on it we swapped out all 4 corners in less than two hours.
