driving to work this morning and my engine managment light came on on a bugeye so takes it round to the local garage put the computer on it comes up with cam sensor fault rang subaru for a new one was quoted 147.00 plus vat i nearly fell off the chair laughing anybody know anybody else i can purchase one off thanx

Camshaft position sensor errors were common on the early Bugeye Denso ECU's. Usually at high revs / on the rev limiter. This is a spurious ECU CEL for most of the time.

I'd give it a while to see if it clears itself before spending any money LOL
