Wow, underneath of the car is corroding alot more this yr !!

Default Wow, underneath of the car is corroding alot more this yr !!

Im a bit ****,vicar, and remove wheels/calipers etc yearly to clean em all out etc,yes i get bored alot,anyhoo,this yr,i have just noticed alot more is corrdoing than last yr,suspension bolts/calipers themselves etc all corrding loads.

might be worth checkin yours to clean em up before rot sets in

maybe the salt this yr,dunno

bleddy rust !

well my car should be ok as most of the salt in scotland was sent south wish they would come up with something like japan they get by without it.

Yeah there was a lot more salt on the roads this year, worst winter for a long time, was bound to take its toll on everyday drivers

My arches have gone very rusty all of a sudden, is currently in the bosyshop for a bit of TLC

Same here she is in for some TLC and gonna hav her undersealed again.

I had the same thoughts and after enquiring, about £100 to redo the 'visible' under-seal. Probably going to make a few more calls and get it done.

It's not surprising given the amount of salt used over this winter that we're seeing more corrosion. Just think what your car would be like if you lived by the sea..!?

It's important that, even if you don't wash your car very often when the weathers bad, you at least stick a hose underneath (pressure wash better) as often as possible.

underseal it yourself guys,its either brushed on or spray can stuff,i did mine with underseal,the black brush on stuff,seems to be good,arches themselves havent rusted,just the bolts/struts etc
