I should know the answer to this as a 'claimed' Scooby fan, and the fact that I owned a 2004 STi, but I'm ashamed to say I don't I know the previous one is a blob eye, the one after is a hawk eye, so can someone tell me what the 03-05 one was please?

Also, what version is the 06 hawk eye?

The first New Age was called a 'Bug; the next revision a 'Blob' and the final saloon model a 'Hawk'. Better to refer to them by year though.

03-05 was the blob eye, the one before that was the bug eye.

 

2003-2005 = Blobeye/Peanuteye/Dropeye

 

The later heavier slower Impreza

 

I thought the 2001 was the bug eye but my mate convinced me otherwise. Wait till I see him

If my obviously not very good memory serves me right, my old blob eye was the STi version 8, can anyone tell me what version the hawk eye is then ie still V8 or V9?

forget the versions because after version 6 its all horrible.
Refer to them by model year ie MY05 etc

 

I think they refer to it as "the last rally winning model".

 

There arent any 'versions' for New Age cars and the version numbers only related to specific Classic WRX STI models, not the range in general.

 

Model years are best, but I prefer Bug-eye, Blob-eye, Jap's-Eye

Shame the latter never took off

 

there's the hawkeye sti 9, bug sti 7, blob sti 8. but there's lots of different models. like the spec c's, the rb320s the list goes on
