I was trying to find out how much I can get an imported WRX for with the following goodies taken from the Subaru UK Accessories List. A few questions:

1. Do importers usually offer all the UK accessories or a limited range? I spoke to JamJar and they dont but say I can get a UK dealer to add them afterwards, is this true and would it cost the same as when getting them factory added when ordering a car? Euro prices on accessories are usually a lot cheaper hence why Id want more of them.

2. If I bought a second hand UK WRX would I be able to get my dealer to add all the accessories listed below?

This is the list I had in mind (yes I like accessories):

1. Sports Single Boost Gauge £139.95 part no: H5010FE000
2. Momo Carbon Effect Handbrake Lever £119.95 part no: SACC2537
3. Momo racing gear **** in black leather £59.95 part no: SACC2531
4. Stainless Steel entry guards £119.95 part no: E1010FE005
5. WRX Carpet Mat Set £59.95 part no: J5010SE300RH
6. Mini Side Under Spoiler £159.95 part no: E2610FE000TG
7. Sports Front Grille - Silver £199.95 part no: J1010FE010TG
8. Front Grille Side Set - Silver £59.95 part no: J1010FE040TG
9. White Side Indicator Lens Set £30.00 part no: J1010FE500
10. White Side Reflector/Marker Set £47.95 part no: J1010FE501
11. Front Strut Brace £199.95 part no: E4010FE00011
12. Front Lip Spoiler £275 part no: SACC2520P
13. Rear Boot Spoiler £504.65 part no: SACC2521
14. WR Sport Twin Headlamp Kit £599.95 part no: SACC2522
15. 17" Oz WRC 10 Spoke Anthracite Wheels £199.95 x 4 part no: SACC2509
16. Quikshift Gear Change £211.50 part no: SACC2296

This adds up to around £3,700 so is still cheaper than a stock UK car new.

Ian Litchfield (look for the banner ads) might be worth a call. I know they can do some extras on imports - not sure on your complete list though. If not, go direct to a European Scoob dealer.

Get the parts fitted at your good 'ol Subaru dealer. Mind you, they quoted me £310 + VAT fitted for the WR front lip spoiler (as you state, its only £275 in the accesories brochure)

Even if you get the parts from an EU dealer, the price works out the same if not dearer.

Why? Parts on other imports are usually a lot cheaper in europe than the uk?

Yes, for some reason on the 17" OZ option on the Subaru webby there isnt a wheel and tyre option....highy useful that. At a guess Id say another another £125 per corner. Not a problem as I may just get standards and swap em for P1's o Superleggeras once I get my hands on it as it would a) be cheaper and b) mean I could get some decent toyo/bridgestone rubber on them instead of the crap pirellis.

Probably a dumb question but can they not just use the tyres from the standard 17" rims?

P1, just had a look at the scooby website and looking at it, like you do, I get the impression that the wheels quoted without tyre option (most of the x17's, including the OEM in gold) come with the standards as you suggest. No extra cost. Could be wrong though, give a UK dealer a call and find out.

I guess it depends on whether they are a factory or dealer fit option.
