Default ANYONE KNOW HOW TO MAKE TDCI MONDEO WORK PROPERLY?

hi all does anyone know how to make my tdci 02 mondeo 130bhp work? it has no power i traded a sti wagon for it but despite changing pipes etc had it to diesel specialist who informed me no computer codes other than maf but put this down to leaky pipe?

heard about egr valave but mine is at rear of engine tried mondeo forum but no real response!

help me scoobynet!

also noticed it wont allow to rev fully when driving goes to around 4k rpm npt red line of 4750

To be honest it isn't going to feel like it has any power compared to an Sti Wagon.

The only thing I can suggest is take it to a Ford specialist to get them to look at it.

I had the same kind of problem with my 04 plate tdci and the same on my mates 02 tdci. ours were down to the injectors. had the engine management light on and would only rev up so far. it went in to limp home mode, no turbo **** all. I know that this is a common fault on the mons.

Yes, injectors.

Mate of mine had the same problems and once they were changed it was cured.

Apparently there is a lot of info on the net about it, along with a lot of evidence to say these particular engines are very troublesome.

Not cheap tho - he had 2 changed and the whole cost was about £700!!

my father had a mondeo TD with no power it was boost probs, it was a wastegate related problem.
