Default Insurance on a turbo 2000 with a sport engine in it?

Does anyone know if I will end up paying a stupid amount on insurance if I put a N/A 2.0 sport engine into a turbo 2000 estate?

Engine has blown in the 2000 and I fancied something a bit more economical, but still keeping the scoob

sell what you got and buy a sport, insurance will still be classed as a turbo even with your sport engine in.

buy sport, insure sport, drive sport and put less petrol into sport

I reckon the insurance could go up as you will have modified the car and put a non standard engine in. Yeah, buy a sport.....or a diesel.

i would imagine the premium would be based on turbo. you are insuring the "model" of the car which is a turbo in your case regardless of the fact that the engine has been replaced with a sport.
.........buy a sport! they can be made to look just like a turbo very easily.
