Default EcuTek and I/C Spray....

I have an Ecutek, and just wondered if it can have been programmed (before I got the car) to use the I/C spray automatically?
Just I filled the bottle up just before xmas, and it is now empty, and I haven't pressed the I/C button once! It has emptied itself before, but I didnt know how full it was etc when it happened 1st time.

Now it could have a leak, which I don't think so, or could it be automatically using it?

Thanks

If its a UK STi then the spray can't be programmed as its juts a manual push and squirt.
Losing water without using the spray was reported quite often when the STi first came out - it was something to do with a poor one way valve near the nozzle that would let water dribble out under braking/accelerating.
Its been cured on newer STis, but I don't what with?

You mean where it sprays out on to the actual I/C? Mines a UK 03 plate, so should it have been cured you think?

Thanks

Only JDM cars have the automatic I/C spray function and it is part of the ECU so UK cars cannot have this function.

I would suggest that maybe you have a leak.

Any tips on finding the leak?

If the bottle was leaking, it would be all wet in the spare wheel well wouldn't it? As there isnt...

Thanks

Follow the hose back from the spray. The valve isn't far back from it.
I can't remember when people started having a problem and what the cure was - presumably a new one way valve?
