Can anyone tell me what the symtoms of failing top mounts are. Im getting a knocking noise at low speed and the steering feels a little sketchy sometimes. Ive had the mechanic check the bushings etc when it was being serviced and he said everything was fine but he never checked the top mounts.

Any help appreciated as this is annoying me so much....cheers
