Default What Petrol ?

The bloke I bought the WRX wagon from said he used normai unleaded should I use that or the dearer stuff is there any difference thanks Rob

It's generally recommended to run them on super unleaded, either V-Power or Tesco 99 probably being best.

WRX's are mapped to run fine on standard unleaded. If you start modding to up power than I'd consider using the dear stuff, with even Prodrive/Subaru UK recommending 98RON or higher for PPP'd cars which are only slightly higher performance than standard.

Try super, you will notice the difference!

If nothing else, the extra few miles per tank will make you feel better.
