Cool AA breakdown cover..Brilliant

i took out the policy (£10 extra a month, on top of my normal break down cover) it covers the scoob, the quattro, and the polo, the policy pays up to £500 minus the 25 pounds excess..

so the audi refuses to start, got flat bedded to my local garage, they did the diognostics, and found that the fault was due to the ignition amplifier..the thing that sends the correct volt to the coils to spark the plugs...so 120 notes for the fault finding, 120 for the part, and a further 60 notes to fit, car is now perfect..starting as per normal, and holding a park..!

so i check on the website, to see if the part is covered, it looks like it is, so i call them to put the cliam in, after a few questions, they say,

"yes mr ali, the part and labour is covered, can you get the garage to call with all the associated costs" next thing i know, the car is delivered to me, and sorted...nothing to pay apart from the 25 notes excess!

that to me is well worth the 120 extra a year, they cover every ancillary part, unless its classed as a wear and tear part, so the full gear box is covered, engine, components, even the air con compressor!..i would recommend it to any one..

simple to set up, once set up you cannot claim within 14 days, but afterthat if you have multi car, you can claim 6 times a year!...in valuble, i know its not much but 500 pounds towards the fix...you cannot argue with that

cheers

which AA policy is this and how much is the total per annum? Sounds a good one to me.

I'm not so sure about it being good value: as I understand it, the max payout is only £500 and that doesn't go very far these days especially on a 4wd system, gearbox or engine.

Cool

still, 500 less than what you would have had to pay...!

my total bill came to 300plus VAT, and all i had to fork out was 25, even if you offset the cost of a part, and buy it 2nd hand, and get the 500 to cover labour, thats still a huge saving..!

total outlay is 120 a year, as long as you have AA recovery

at the end of the day, i was looking at that money going out of my bank, and instead, it did not..!
