Default Fully rebuilt 2.1 Stroker for sale at APi

API Impreza

Due to a change of plans by the owner we have been asked to sell his engine.

It is a 2.1 stroker with: Cossie steel rods, forged pistons, balanced 2.5 crank built into a semi-closed block, using polished version 3/4 heads and cams.

The build spec is comprehensive and l will be happy to talk to any prospective buyers about the engine.

It has just come through the engine build shop and is now ready to go.

It is a race winning engine and using the original turbo and some additive, was happily making 450 hp.

It is ready to go and should not be confused with lesser spec engines.

Offers around £4000 [ no vat ].

As you say... seriously if I was ever in a position to build I think 2.1 would be my direction if I went away from the standard 2.0

I wouldn't expect a warranty on a "race" engine !

We only stripped it for inspection and rebuilt it with new gaskets and seals. lt isn't 'our' engine to warrant and the owner is not in a position to warrant it either.

It is a race built high performance engine, even if we'd built it new it would have very limited warranty.

If I might add a point in support of David, in my 13 year experience of race engines, they are only ever offered with two guarantees:-

1) It will start
2) It will (at some point) break.

You pays your money and you takes your choice.
