Ive got a version 3 sti

I know it comes with short shifter, forged pistons, aluminium panels, 4pots as standard. some people are telling me mine comes with a rear diff and some people are saying it doesnt?

And is it true it comes with a factory lightened flywheel as standard? anything else ive missed???

Not heard of the lightened flywheel before.

From what I remember:

Uprated conrods
Uprated gearbox internals
Suspension?
4pots on the front

This sort of thing should be in a sticky about the different model variantions and advantages. Just have a look on the mitsubishi lancer register and the hours they must have put into there buying guide.

 

Only alloy panel is the bonnet. Same as most wrx`s and sti`s.

 

the ones can think of are:

alloy intercooler
ic spray
sti seats
red sticthed steering wheel and gear ****
sti plauge under bonnet and one belt cover
mid level spoiler
different wheels
sti clocks
earlier models had td04 not a td05
different grille badge

 

panels are no different from the wrx

 

it will have a rear diff

the question maybe whether its an LSD or an open diff
