Any ideas how I managed this,

it hasn't come through the tread and I haven't touched any kerbs
It is a nail gun pin, I wonder who I've annoyed now
New tyre £95,
catching the tosser who did would be priceless

 

I'm afraid that looks deliberate . Keep a close eye out on your motor.

 

I agree, looks deliberate to me. In the part of the tyre that can't be plugged. Anybody else near you done, or did they just target the scoob. I think if it had been aimed at you for annoying someone, all four would have been done!!

Only thing id say, 1 end looks silver still, could u have run over something and its come off that?
If it is a nail gun job How/where could it happen?

 

M8 riding a CB550 (so think old thin tyres) managed to pic up a 6" x 1/2" bolt through the side and edge of his rear tyre

Didn't puncture it but the noise got him to stop - how on earth that happened physically I do not know.

 

If the tyres nearly new, you're ok. If not it's a pair is it not?

 

they wouldnt of used a nail gun as it would of gone right through and using a hammer to nail the pin in the wall aint a easy job if your in a rush sort of thing.
